Viega LLC is a leading technology company in the installation industry, focused on developing intelligent systems and integrated digital solutions. The Manager, Business Development - Industrial will drive the industrial sales strategy, create long-term relationships with strategic accounts, and lead the industrial sales team to achieve performance goals.
Responsibilities:
- Provides input to the Regional Sales Directors as to performance and follow up of leads by the industrial sales team
- Continually and proactively demonstrates strong leadership and managerial skills in motivating and coaching a high-performance team
- Drive industrial market strategy created by Sales Strategy including target group segmentation, distribution channels, and innovation opportunity
- Collaborate with Sales Strategy to develop strategy and provide feedback as to what is working or what opportunities exist
- Provide direction to the industrial sales team regarding customer targets and segmentation based on strategy
- Maintains overview of customer database in CRM system, including segmentation and nesting of accounts. Ensures communication to the sales team on changes or updates required to customer accounts
- Cultivate long-term relationships with strategic headquarter accounts and work with regions to identify and maintain relationships with local customers and facilities
- Identifies and follows up on leads provided by Inside Sales, Marketing or Sales Strategy
- Works with Association Strategist to identify associations to attend to drive business growth and lead generation
- Delivers professional sales presentations to various individuals and accounts in order to advance market growth
- Initiates sales calls with strategic headquarter accounts; makes sales calls with industrial sales team to key customers
- Assists with creating specifications for inclusion of products into facilities and large accounts
- Utilizes analytics to monitor KPIs of industrial team to ensure success metrics are achieved; develop countermeasures to improve metrics when necessary
- Attends meetings as required and/or assigned
- Performs other duties as required and/or assigned
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Marketing, or Business Management
- Seven years successful industrial sales experience required
- Working knowledge of customers, trends, and associations in industrial segment
- Knowledge of computer programs such as Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel; SAP and Business Warehouse; Salesforce
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong multi-tasking, organizational and analytical skills
- Self-motivated, self-starter who has the ability to work well with others as well as work independently
- Strong relationship building and strategic selling skills
- Ability to identify market dynamics and quickly define and implement competitive campaigns
- Strong presentation skills with the capability of effectively presenting to all levels of the organization
