Senior Electrical Engineer

Plan B Climatech is a growing, full-service MEP consulting firm that focuses on diverse building projects across the United States. They are seeking a professional MEP Electrical design engineer to lead design efforts and project management on various projects, including government, education, healthcare, and commercial buildings.

Responsibilities:

• Help manage MEP design projects including coordination between disciplines
• Produce complete electrical systems design drawings in accordance with the code
• Engineering evaluations and studies
• Construction cost estimating
• Design QC review
• Mentoring/training of junior engineering staff
• Qualifications for engineering services
• Proposal building for engineering services, including fee proposals
• Collaborate in solving a variety of complex engineering problems (e.g., conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of conventional materials, difficult coordination requirements)
• Make sure you are responding to requests and communicating information accurately and in a timely manner

Requirements:

• Accredited electrical engineering degree
• Minimum 3-10 years experience within the MEP consulting industry
• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD; SKM and/or ETAP a plus
• Strong knowledge of NEC and electrical design fundamentals
• Ability to interpret construction documents and develop detailed electrical designs
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• EIT or (PE) Professional Engineering license preferred
