They are seeking a PSA Engineer SCADA to develop advanced Power Systems Application software and ensure the successful delivery of assigned functions while collaborating with Electric Utilities and ISOs.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for advanced Power Systems Application software development and successful delivery of assigned functions
- Work with Electric Utilities or ISOs and TSOs on functional software specifications, designing, coding, testing, integration, application tuning, and delivery
- Proficient in Electric Transmission EMS/SCADA/Implementation
- Hands-on experience with GE Reliance (XA21) EMS/SCADA or equivalent (Siemens, OSI, ABB, Schneider)
- Strong knowledge of Electric SCADA applications, Power DMS/TMS
- Experience with data modeling
- 5+ years of experience customizing and delivering Network or Transmission Applications, preferably Reliance
- Experience with LINUX and Windows Operating Systems
- Proficiency in C, Java, Oracle Database, SQL, shell scripting
- Ability to read and interpret logs & debug files
- Experience installing OS patches and 3rd-party software such as Oracle, NetApp
- System configuration and hands-on experience with GitHub and ClearCase
- Experience working with real-time or mission-critical systems
- Must be able to install fixes on live customer systems
- Strong troubleshooting & debugging skills
- Proven track record of problem analysis and resolution
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Competency in MS Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and MS Outlook
- Experience in Reliance (formerly XA/21)
- Familiarity with Object-Oriented Programming, Oracle, and/or system administration is a plus
- Experience with Reliance grid apps domain
- Experience in database SQL/PLSQL
- Exposure to test management and automated testing
