About this role
People In AI is a high-growth startup building infrastructure for Generative AI applications. The role is for a full-stack AI engineer who will design and implement AI capabilities, improve system performance, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities:
- Design and ship production-grade Generative AI capabilities
- Build full-stack features using TypeScript, React, and Node.js
- Develop observability and AI-tracing systems for complex AI workflows
- Own feature delivery from requirements to implementation and iteration
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product, design, and leadership
- Improve performance, reliability, and quality of AI-driven systems
- Contribute to internal frameworks and reusable components
- Lead and participate in technical discussions and code reviews
Requirements:
- Ample full-stack software engineering experience
- Proven experience with LLM-powered applications, agents, or workflows
- Strong skills in TypeScript, React, and Node.js
- Familiarity with GenAI development patterns (RAG, embeddings, vector search)
- Hands-on with orchestration tools (LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, etc.)
- Ability to operate autonomously and make pragmatic technical decisions
- Strong debugging, architecture, and performance tuning skills
