About this role
The Judge Group is seeking a Network Security Engineer to work on a long-term contract with potential for conversion. The role involves engineering and implementing secure web gateway solutions, leading migration efforts, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Engineer and implement secure web gateway solutions aligned with our cybersecurity roadmap
- Lead migration efforts from Broadcom Proxy to Netskope SWG
- Serve as SME for supported proxy and web security technologies
- Troubleshoot complex proxy, policy, and access issues
- Partner with application owners, business teams, and vendors
- Maintain documentation, architectural models, and policy standards
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (PCI, SOX)
Requirements:
- 3–5 years working with: Broadcom/Blue Coat ProxySG & WSS
- Netskope Secure Web Gateway (not CASB-focused)
- Hands‑on migration experience between proxy platforms
- Strong troubleshooting, root‑cause analysis, and customer support skills
- Experience designing, implementing, and tuning web security policies
- Familiarity with firewalls (Palo Alto URL/content filtering encouraged)
- Comfortable working in a Linux shell environment
- Strong documentation and communication skills
- Secure Remote Access experience (Cisco ASA/AnyConnect, Palo Alto GlobalProtect)
- Python or Ansible for automation
- GitHub for version control
- Grafana/SolarWinds dashboards
- Splunk experience (plus)
