D24 Search is a well-funded Series A startup focused on creating command & control software and unmanned aircraft for defense missions. They are seeking a Full Stack Engineer to architect and build software for controlling UAV swarms, enhancing user interfaces, and developing collaborative real-time infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
- Architect and build the frontend for a Command & Control (C2) system for heterogeneous aircraft swarms
- Develop and test new user interface concepts for swarming UAVs, representing data like vehicle telemetry, sensor data, and scheduling
- Own key new full-stack features from design to deployment, making our C2 software more user-friendly, visually appealing, and faster
- Build distributed, collaborative real-time infrastructure for controlling large numbers of aircraft
- Ship great software frequently with excellent CI/CD, QA, and DevSecOps practices
Requirements:
- 1 - 8 years of experience in full stack software engineering
- React experience required (or similar frontend frameworks) with UI/UX design principles and tools
- Golang experience for backend development
- Familiar with C++, WebGL/OpenGL and video streaming protocols is a bonus
- Experience building distributed, collaborative real-time infrastructure
- Strong CS fundamentals — role values deep general engineering skills over niche specialization
- Experience with CICD, QA, DevSecOps practices required
- STEM degree
- Willing and able to travel 10-30% time
- Must be a US Citizen
- Geospatial applications experience is a strong plus
- Experience with immediate mode UIs (games, simulation) AND retained mode UIs
