About this role
Stealth Talent Solutions is seeking a hands-on Infrastructure Engineer to support and modernize a mission-critical hybrid infrastructure environment. This role involves maintaining and improving data center infrastructure while assisting with AWS cloud migrations and ensuring operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Build, maintain, and troubleshoot Linux servers (Debian/Ubuntu preferred)
- Manage Fortinet firewalls, VPNs (IPsec), and network security
- Configure and maintain network switches and related infrastructure
- Oversee physical data center equipment including cabling, power systems (PDU/ATS), and hardware refreshes
- Monitor system health, logging, backups, and performance
- Implement and maintain encryption at rest and in transit (TLS/PKI/IPsec)
- Manage certificates, key material, and authentication systems
- Support SOC reporting and overall security posture
- Assist in migrating on-prem infrastructure to AWS (EC2, RDS, S3, VPC, IAM)
- Implement infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible)
- Manage AWS networking, security, monitoring, and cost optimization
- Troubleshoot infrastructure, networking, and security issues across environments
- Contribute to infrastructure automation, documentation, and modernization efforts
Requirements:
- 5+ years of infrastructure or systems engineering experience
- Strong Linux administration experience (Debian/Ubuntu preferred)
- Experience managing firewalls (Fortinet preferred) and VPNs
- Deep understanding of TCP/IP networking, routing, and switching
- Experience working in physical data center or colocation environments
- Experience with AWS core services and hybrid cloud environments
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible)
- Strong troubleshooting skills in production environments
- Ability to work independently and ramp quickly
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience supporting production SaaS environments
- Experience with SOC reporting and compliance support
- Familiarity with containerization (Docker, ECS/Fargate)
- Experience with power systems (APC preferred)
- Demonstrated long-term tenure and career stability
