MGT is a leading provider of technology and advisory solutions serving state, local, and education government agencies across the United States. The K-12 Facilities Project Manager will be responsible for conducting assessments of K-12 facilities, managing multiple projects, and engaging with community stakeholders to ensure high-quality outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Apply in-depth knowledge of K–12 facilities—gained from roles such as Maintenance Director or Facilities Manager—to deliver high-quality assessments
- Utilize a strong understanding of construction and building systems to conduct accurate and comprehensive evaluations of K–12 facilities
- Build strong relationships with clients, school district leaders, community partners, and internal teams
- Communicate clearly and confidently in both written and verbal formats to answer questions, prepare reports, and present findings
- Use Microsoft Excel and related tools to compile, analyze, and present facilities data
- Manage multiple concurrent projects, ensuring timely completion, budget alignment, and client satisfaction
- Maintain high standards of quality and ensure compliance with applicable codes, regulations, and industry best practices
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- Three (3) years or more of experience in K–12 schools, higher education, construction management, or a related role
- Strong understanding of construction and building systems
- Experience working within a school district (required)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and related software
- Demonstrated success managing projects in an educational environment
- Ability to build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders
- Flexibility to adapt to evolving project needs
- Ability to travel up to 35% to client sites
- Ability to assess buildings, analyze data, and develop written reports
- Five (5) or more years of experience in educational facilities condition assessment or a related leadership role
- Direct experience in K–12 schools or higher education environments
- Relevant trade or professional certifications or licenses (CFM, PMP, LEED, etc.)
- Experience managing large-scale educational facilities projects from conception to completion
- Proven ability to design and implement innovative solutions for complex facilities challenges
