DevOps Cloud Engineer with SAP Experience

Accion Labs is seeking a DevOps Cloud Engineer with SAP Experience for a 12-month contract. The role involves owning the cloud delivery, reliability, and cost efficiency of eCommerce platforms built on SAP Commerce, with a focus on CI/CD, runtime operations, and cloud usage optimization.

Responsibilities:

• Own the cloud delivery, reliability, and cost efficiency of our eCommerce platforms built on SAP Commerce (Hybris) 2205
• Be a hands on DevOps engineer embedded with Hybris product teams, focused on CI/CD, runtime operations, and FinOps aware cloud usage rather than deep traditional infrastructure work
• Work with CI/CD pipelines (Maven/Gradle, test automation, artifact management, environment promotion) using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar
• Run workloads on Azure (AKS and/or App Services), including configuration, secrets, environment management, and basic networking
• Provision app adjacent cloud resources (AKS, App Services, storage, networking for services) and manage them via Git workflows using Terraform
• Understand monitoring and alerting concepts, and experience with at least one observability stack (Azure Monitor, Prometheus/Grafana, New Relic, etc.)
• Work closely with developers, product, and business stakeholders in an agile environment, with a bias toward automation and self service
• Support migrations from SAP Commerce 2205 to later SAP Commerce Cloud releases or alternative commerce platforms

Requirements:

• 12 + years of experience in software engineering or DevOps, with strong exposure to Java based platforms, ideally including SAP Commerce / Hybris or similar Java eCommerce / transactional systems
• Hands on with CI/CD pipelines (Maven/Gradle, test automation, artifact management, environment promotion) using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar
• Practical experience running workloads on Azure (AKS and/or App Services), including configuration, secrets, environment management, and basic networking
• Solid Terraform skills for provisioning app adjacent cloud resources (AKS, App Services, storage, networking for services) and managing them via Git workflows
• Familiarity with SAP Commerce 2205 runtime characteristics (Java 17, OCC APIs, search, backoffice) or demonstrated ability to quickly ramp up on Hybris-specific tooling and extensions
• Strong understanding of monitoring and alerting concepts, and experience with at least one observability stack (Azure Monitor, Prometheus/Grafana, New Relic, etc.)
• Comfortable working closely with developers, product, and business stakeholders in an agile environment, with a bias toward automation and self service
• Prior experience with SAP Commerce Cloud / Hybris development, configuration, or operations (extensions, OCC, backoffice customization)
• Exposure to headless / composable commerce (OCC APIs, Spartacus or other frontends consuming SAP Commerce)
• Experience supporting migrations from SAP Commerce 2205 to later SAP Commerce Cloud releases or alternative commerce platforms
• FinOps Certified Practitioner (FOCP) or equivalent training
