About this role
Blank Rome LLP is seeking a Patent Agent or Patent Attorney with at least 2 years of law firm experience to support their patent prosecution and technology practice. The role involves leveraging technical expertise in Mechanical Engineering or related fields to assist clients in protecting their medical device and mechanical technology, drafting and prosecuting patent applications, and supporting due diligence.
Responsibilities:
- Draft and prosecute applications through the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office
- Support due diligence
Requirements:
- At least 2 years of law firm experience
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or the like
- Registered to practice in front of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office
- Licensed to practice law in their respective state (if appropriate)
- Strong time management skills
- Ability to meet and manage internal and client-driven deadlines
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong writing skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
