Alteryx is a company focused on building a transactable Marketplace to enhance customer outcomes through verified add-ons. They are seeking a Marketplace Operations Engineer to streamline transactions across cloud channels and facilitate a repeatable revenue engine by collaborating with various teams to optimize operational processes.
Responsibilities:
- Build the repeatable “how to transact” path for AEs and partners (playbooks, FAQs, runbooks)
- Create and maintain SKU guides, offer templates, approval flows, and launch checklists
- Define process by region: who initiates, who approves, who books, who provisions, who supports
- Configure and manage public and private offers across supported marketplaces
- Standardize packaging (e.g., “T-shirt sizing” S/M/L) for Alteryx One offers, AI Data Kits, services attach, and renewals
- Automate manual steps to reduce deal-cycle touchpoints (intake → approvals → offer creation → fulfillment)
- Own the mapping: Marketplace SKUs → Alteryx One entitlements (and any add-on entitlements)
- Ensure provisioning triggers correct downstream access, usage metering, and customer onboarding
- Partner with Product/Engineering to prevent and resolve breakages in fulfillment, entitlement, metering, or renewal flows
- Instrument the funnel: offer state, cycle time, conversion %, pipeline velocity, attach rate, and leakage
- Create feedback loops to RevOps on pricing leaks, offer cannibalization, and discount discipline
- Surface risks early when marketplace mechanics threaten margin, compliance, or architecture guardrails
Requirements:
- 7+ years in marketplace operations, SaaS deal operations, cloud GTM operations, provisioning/entitlements, or adjacent platform operations roles
- Direct experience setting up and running offers on at least one major marketplace (AWS/GCP/Azure/Snowflake/Databricks); multi-marketplace experience strongly preferred
- Working knowledge of how SaaS provisioning actually works: entitlements, identity/access, metering, fulfillment triggers, renewals, and operational failure modes
- Ability to speak revenue mechanics: pricing, discounting ranges, margin impact, services attach, and approval guardrails
- Comfort saying 'no' when an offer breaks pricing discipline, legal/commercial constraints, or technical architecture
- Strong understanding of analytics/data workflows and modern cloud architectures
- Ability to build production-grade operational automation using APIs, Python, and SQL (and lightweight tooling/scripts as needed)
- Familiarity with at least one cloud data platform ecosystem: Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks, Redshift, or AWS
