Electrical Engineering Designer

Core States Group is a company that designs, builds, and manages programs and projects across North America. The Electrical Engineering Designer will be responsible for designing and drafting electrical engineering projects, coordinating with various engineering disciplines, and producing construction documents while adhering to client and code requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with design tasks and reports under the direction of senior staff
• Conduct site feasibility research and site visit investigations as well as generate reports/recommendations based on findings
• Assist in maintaining task budgets
• Coordinate and assist with addendums, RFI's and change orders
• Assist in coordinating the work of a multi-disciplined team throughout the design development and contract document phases of a project
• Assist senior staff with the project approval process
• Other related responsibilities as necessary to fulfill the objectives of this role

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering
• 2+ years of experience with electrical design for buildings, preferably with commercial projects such as retail, restaurants, grocery, financial, and/or convenience stores
• AutoCAD, Revit, MS Office required
• EIT preferred, not required
• Arc Flash/Short Circuit experience is a plus
