Boomi is a fast-growing company that aims to connect everyone to everything through its intelligent integration and automation platform. They are seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to serve as the principal technical architect for North American clients, focusing on data governance and integrity by addressing challenges of data fragmentation and quality.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the technical design of end-to-end data management strategies, incorporating Master Data Management (MDM), Data Stewardship, and automated quality frameworks
- Conduct deep-dive discovery sessions to identify systemic data silos and fragmentation, positioning Boomi’s governance capabilities as the solution for organizational data synchronization
- Partner with Account Executives and C-level stakeholders (CDO, CTO) to articulate the business impact of data integrity, moving beyond 'point-to-point' integration toward holistic data lifecycle management
- Direct the execution of high-impact Proof of Concepts (PoCs) that validate Boomi’s ability to cleanse, enrich, and synchronize data across complex, heterogeneous environments
- Serve as the technical lead for 'Win Teams,' coordinating with product specialists to provide authoritative responses to RFI/RFP requirements concerning data security and compliance
- Act as the primary subject matter expert (SME) for Data Management within the AMER sales organization, bridging the gap between technical IT requirements and business-driven data governance initiatives
Requirements:
- Extensive experience in Master Data Management (MDM), Data Quality, and Data Governance principles
- Deep understanding of the architectural requirements for maintaining data veracity
- Proven proficiency in iPaaS technologies, enterprise service bus (ESB) patterns, and API-led connectivity as the delivery mechanism for governed data
- Exceptional ability to synthesize complex data landscapes into clear, executive-level presentations that highlight strategic ROI
- Demonstrated capability in designing resilient architectures that incorporate relational databases, cloud data warehouses, and distributed SaaS ecosystems
- A track record of consultative technical sales, with the ability to navigate complex organizational structures and build consensus among technical and business evaluators
- Advanced experience with enterprise Data Governance or Data Cataloging solutions (e.g., Collibra, Informatica, or SAP)
- Familiarity with the application of AI and Machine Learning in the context of automated data matching and anomaly detection
- Knowledge of global data privacy and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, CCPA)
