The Data Engineer role involves driving the execution of data and technology strategy, building data solutions, and establishing robust data collection and processing pipelines to fulfill Investment Management business requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and measure complex ELT jobs to process disparate data sources, ensuring the creation of high integrity, high-quality, and clean data assets
- Implement and provide feedback on data modeling policies, procedures, processes, and standards to maintain data consistency and reliability
- Assist in capturing and documenting system flow and other technical information related to data, database design, and system architecture
- Develop comprehensive data quality standards and deploy effective tools to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and reliability across platforms
- Collaborate with various Investment Management departments to understand new data patterns and translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Work closely with Data Analysts, Data Architects, and Business Intelligence developers to design scalable data solutions aligned with organizational goals
- Translate high-level business requirements into detailed technical specifications, ensuring clarity and feasibility for implementation
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in data analytics, data modeling, and database design
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience with ELT methodologies and tools
- Strong background in designing, developing, tuning, and troubleshooting SQL with a minimum of 5 years of experience
- 3 or more years of coding and scripting experience in Python, Java, or Scala
- At least 2 years working with Spark framework
- Strong analytical skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams
