Staff Software Engineer

Osmind is a technology, services, and data company focused exclusively on psychiatry, serving over 800 independent psychiatry practices across the United States. They are seeking a Staff Software Engineer to drive architecture decisions, mentor engineers, and partner with teams to build software that enhances patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Own and drive architecture decisions across our stack, setting patterns the whole team builds on
• Lead complex, ambiguous product challenges end-to-end—from technical design through shipping to end users
• Mentor other engineers through code reviews, design feedback, and pairing
• Partner with Product, Design, and Clinical teams to translate clinical workflows into scalable solutions
• Identify and drive improvements to technical debt, reliability, and developer experience
• Champion AI tools in your daily workflow and help establish team-wide best practices

Requirements:

• 8+ years of full-stack engineering experience shipping complex features in production systems
• Demonstrated track record leading technical initiatives that span multiple teams or systems
• Extensive experience with 0-1 builds
• Proficient with AI coding tools as part of daily development
• Strong communicator who can align stakeholders around technical decisions
• Passion for improving mental healthcare
• HIPAA-regulated healthcare or fintech experience
• AI/ML integration in production
• Based in San Francisco and able to go into the office 2 days per week
