The Geospatial Systems Engineer will manage and develop ESRI Enterprise infrastructure and custom geospatial applications, supporting various business lines and working closely with project teams to provide mobile/web GIS solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Administration and maintenance of ESRI Enterprise servers and applications (11,X+)
- Custom application development within ESRI Enterprise platforms such as Experience Builder
- Gather and review technical requirements to meet data collection, development standards, and implement quality assurance procedures
- Lead and mentor junior staff, fostering growth towards career technical development
- Design, deploy and manage geospatial applications AGOL/Portal ArcGIS Field Maps, Survey123, Workforce, Dashboards, StoryMaps, AppStudio, and Power Automate Reporting
- Prepare and deploy applications using ArcGIS Server 11.x, Portal for GIS, and ArcGIS Online (AGOL)
- As part of a team develop and maintain mobile and web applications that utilize JavaScript, JavaScript API 4.X, HTML5, JSON/GeoJSON, Google Maps API or similar platforms
- Utilize Python, Model Builder, Microsoft Power Automate, Microsoft Flow, and other commonly used scripting tools to automate workflows and streamline routine processes and tasks
- Experience with ESRI dashboards, PowerBI integrations, and other Dashboarding tools
- Work with teams to manage and deploy SDE geospatial databases on SQL Server
- Maintain quality assurance of spatial and non-spatial data and processes as per defined standards
- Maintain expertise in existing and emerging GIS mobile/web-related software and technologies
- Market GIS and mobile services to internal and external clients
- Apply attention to detail with proactive and resourceful problem-solving skills
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in GIS, Computer Science, Geography, Social Science, Environmental Science, Data Science, or related field + 8 years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
- 8 years of relevant professional and progressively responsible experience in Enterprise GIS development, programming, administration, and management
- Due to the nature of work, US Citizenship is required
- ArcGIS Server and ArcGIS Online (AGOL)/Portal administration experience
- Cityworks Administrator and End-User experience (not required)
- GIS Web Service creation and GIS Web App experience (ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Enterprise (Portal), ArcGIS Online)
- SQL Server experience (Queries, Views, Stored Procedures, Triggers)
- Experience designing and deploying geospatial mobile applications for ArcGIS Field Maps, Smart Forms, Survey123, Workforce, Dashboards, StoryMaps, AppStudio, and Power Automate Reporting
- Experience developing and maintain mobile and web applications that utilize JavaScript, JavaScript API 4.X, HTML5, JSON/GeoJSON, Google Maps API or similar platforms
- Programming experience with Python, JavaScript and SQL
- Experience with webhooks and automation via APIs
- Experience applying SSRS, Crystal Reports, and Power BI to generate reports
- Asset Management System Experience desirable
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric Dataflows, Pipelines, Data Warehouse is desirable
- Experience with ArcGIS Pro
- Experience with Scherz Suite
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced multi-tasking environment
