The Demand Planning Project Manager will partner with Demand and Supply Planning teams to analyze demand and supply changes, validate planning data, and drive supportability assessments for key hardware devices.
Responsibilities:
- Connect with Demand and Supply Planning teams at the start of each week to initiate supportability reviews for designated network devices
- Analyze changes between the previous and current week’s demand, supply, and inventory positions, generating detailed and accurate reports
- Review and validate all data snapshots across systems to identify discrepancies, investigate inconsistencies, and ensure data integrity
- Manage, track, and close out action items from previous weekly cycles
- Drive alignment across cross‑functional teams regarding weekly changes, risks, and supportability outcomes
- Build and maintain dashboards and analytical tools using Excel, SQL, Power BI, or Tableau
- Utilize planning and ERP systems to extract data, validate demand and supply signals, and support decision‑making
- Support continuous improvement activities including tool optimization, data quality enhancements, and reporting efficiency improvements
- Clearly communicate insights, risks, and recommendations to technical and non‑technical stakeholders
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Supply Chain Analytics, or a related field and 7+ years of experience in supply planning, operations, supply chain, sourcing, manufacturing, or related disciplines
- OR
- Master's degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations Management, Supply Chain Analytics, or a related field and 4+ years of relevant experience
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (complex formulas, modeling, data manipulation)
- SQL querying experience, including ability to extract and validate large datasets
- Experience with Power BI and/or Tableau for dashboarding and analytics
- Strong analytical and data‑driven problem‑solving skills with the ability to work with large, complex datasets
- Hands‑on demand planning experience where the candidate has personally created demand plans (not just reviewed or supported)
- Experience with short‑term or mid‑term planning horizons (S&OP / SNOE)
- Proven experience building demand forecasts and managing demand signals end‑to‑end
- Solid understanding of how forecasts are created, adjusted, and refined over time
- Strong knowledge of Bill of Materials (BOM) structures and how dependent demand flows from parent‑level demand
- Experience applying BOM/dependent demand concepts in real-world planning scenarios
- Experience using ERP or planning systems. SAP experience is a plus, but any planning ERP is acceptable for candidates who understand planning logic
- Excellent verbal communication with the ability to influence both business and technical stakeholders
- Self‑starter with a “can‑do” attitude and strong ownership mentality
- High attention to detail and a strong commitment to data accuracy
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Experience in technology‑related supply chains, indirect supply planning, or hardware supportability roles
- Familiarity with Kusto Query Language (KQL)
- Experience improving planning tools, reporting workflows, or data quality processes
- Prior involvement in weekly or cyclical demand/supply supportability reviews
