Network Engineer - Certifications

Piper Companies is seeking a Network Engineer to support security certification efforts within the global technology sector. The Network Engineer will contribute to system setup, secure configuration, and extensive documentation tied to international compliance programs.

Responsibilities:

• Configure and prepare network platforms for security evaluations, including initial setup and feature enablement
• Implement and manage secure services such as SSH, syslog, NTP, and RADIUS
• Support certification activities by applying security configurations and validating product behavior
• Produce detailed documentation outlining configurations, architecture, and security controls
• Collaborate with global engineering and technical teams to meet compliance requirements
• Participate in occasional domestic and international travel to assist with product assessments

Requirements:

• Experience in networking technologies including routing, switching, cloud/data center concepts, and encryption
• Hands‑on knowledge of Cisco platforms (IOS, IOS‑XE or similar)
• Understanding of secure management protocols and network monitoring practices
• Self‑driven with the ability to manage multiple tasks independently
• familiarity with Common Criteria or similar compliance frameworks
• experience deploying Cisco solutions
