NVIDIA is a leader in computing technology, and they are seeking a Data Center Engineering and Operations Environmental Compliance Manager. This role involves ensuring data centers meet environmental standards and developing compliance programs, training, and inspections related to sustainability and environmental health.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with the DCEO Operations staff, Collocation provider contacts, the company’s real estate management group, and the environmental health and safety division to develop and maintain environmental and sustainability compliance programs, procedures, and training. This includes Resource Recovery and Conservation Act (RCRA) and Spill Prevention Control and Counter Measures (SPCC) plans in the US and international equivalents, as well as International Standards Organization- (ISO-) compliant programs
- Initiate and conduct workshops and training sessions for DCEO operational staff on environmental and sustainability requirements including waste management, energy sustainability, and fuel storage and management related to various workplace factors
- Work together with DCEO Operations team, Collocation provider partners, Corporate Real Estate Services, and the Corporate EHS to coordinate data center and rack lab measures and support ISO50001 and ISO14001 compliance in mix of global collocated data centers and corporate locations
- Develop a program for regular inspections of facilities to ensure adherence to RCRA, SPCC, ISO, national, local, and environmental and sustainability requirements
- Ensure accurate chemical and waste management, including maintaining inventories, safety data sheets, labeling, inspections, and disposal
- Coordinate with external firms and internal teams as the primary contact for audits and compliance inspections within DCEO site operations
- Act as Product Manager for assisting with the development of standard and emergency operating procedures, identifying issues, and generating corrective action backlogs
- Leverage AI experience to integrate autonomous solutions into documentation processes, improving team performance
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in environmental science, management, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 8+ years of experience in environmental program preparation, management, and implementation including waste management, sustainability practices, and petroleum storage
- Knowledge of auditing policies, standards, procedures, and ISO-compliant programs
- Successful management and completion of ISO audits
- Experience with preparation of Spill Prevention, Countermeasures and Control (SPCC) plans, water and wastewater management programs, and air permits
- Masters degree in environmental management
- Management of global environmental auditing program and program portfolios
