Senior Software Development Engineer

CVS Health is focused on building a more connected and compassionate health experience for individuals. The Senior Software Development Engineer will design, develop, and maintain efficient programs using SAP ABAP and SQL to ensure data quality and optimize performance across various applications.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain efficient programs using SAP ABAP to extract data from SAP CAR application to load to various other applications
• Ensure data quality, consistency, and integrity across all data platforms
• Optimize performance and resolve issues related to data extracts
• SQL Development-Design, develop and maintain SQL, PL/SQL stored procedures
• Develop and maintain HANA data models and Oracle data models to support business needs
• Work with stakeholders to gather business requirements and translate them into technical specifications for data extracts and reporting
• Work closely with data architects, business analysts, and stakeholders to understand business objectives and design solutions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve data accessibility, integrity, and analytics
• Ensure adherence to data governance policies, data security, and best practices
• Maintain documentation for future reference and audits

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in development using SAP ABAP
• 5+ years of SQL and Unix Script experience
• Experience with SAP ABAP development
• Knowledge of data governance and data quality frameworks
• Knowledge of SAP BOBJ development is a plus
• Proficiency in SQL for querying and manipulating large datasets
• Strong understanding of data modeling techniques and best practices
• Knowledge of Control-m configuration
• Experience in working with data warehouses, databases, and data lakes
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS is a plus
• Excellent communication skills to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders
