Java Software Engineer | Remote

Crossing Hurdles is seeking a Software Engineer III to build and enhance AI-powered interviewing systems. The role involves contributing to both frontend and backend services, integrating modern AI technologies, and collaborating with various teams to deliver products from ideation to launch.

Responsibilities:

• Build and enhance AI-powered interviewing systems
• Contribute across frontend (React) and backend services
• Integrate modern AI technologies (GPT-4o and similar) into production environments
• Improve interview automation, scheduling, and candidate experiences
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, Data Scientists, and AI/ML teams to ship products end-to-end from ideation through launch
• Support large-scale hiring infrastructure handling high volumes of interviews annually

Requirements:

• Experience in AI-driven product development
• Experience building scalable engineering systems
• Experience working with frontend technologies such as React
• Experience working with backend services
• Experience integrating AI technologies into production environments
• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally in product-driven environments
