The Staff Product Manager will lead the development of AI products, manage the entire product lifecycle, and ensure strong product-market fit by engaging with customers and collaborating across various teams.
Responsibilities:
- Develop new AI products that solve hard operational challenges across diverse verticals (e.g., waste services, construction, field services), driving the product line from conception to successful market launch (0-to-1)
- Own the entire product lifecycle, defining the long-term vision, strategy, and roadmap
- Conduct deep market and customer surveys to identify high-value, unmet operational needs uniquely solvable by Motive’s AI development capabilities
- Define clear, actionable product requirements for AI models, edge hardware integration, and software features, managing trade-offs with Engineering and AI teams
- Lead the GTM strategy in partnership with Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success, developing positioning, pricing, and enablement materials necessary for rapid market adoption
- Act as the primary voice of the customer and the market, deeply engaging with early adopter customers to validate prototypes, gather feedback, and ensure strong product-market fit
- Cultivate a high-performing, collaborative team environment across Engineering, AI R&D, Design, and Operations, motivating and influencing teams without direct reporting authority to deliver exceptional results
- Define and track key product and business metrics (e.g., model precision, recall, adoption rate, revenue) to measure the success of the new product line and inform subsequent investment decisions
Requirements:
- 7+ years of experience with Product Management
- High customer empathy, with a desire to get in the shoes of our customers
- Have high 'EQ'; be even-keeled, flexible, and able to quickly adapt to unexpected changes
- Proven experience in delivering commercially successful software products
- Be data-driven; you regularly seek out and use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and opinions
- You are comfortable and confident sharing your thoughts in verbal or written form. You can engage constructively in debate and discussion with different personality types and seniority levels
- You are a trailblazer who is humble, kind, and open to learning new stuff. You can take a stand yet commit even when you disagree. You have a strong bias to action (aka hustle) and are not afraid to get your hands dirty
- Have enough technical knowledge to enough to gain the respect of engineers
- Experience working effectively with remote/offshore teams
