Project Engineer

MacConnell & Associates, P.C. is a reputable engineering firm located in Cary, North Carolina, specializing in land development, water resources, and environmental engineering. They are seeking a motivated Civil/Environmental Engineer to design and oversee utility water and wastewater projects, collaborating closely with Project Managers and engaging directly with clients to ensure project satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with Project Managers to establish project goals, timelines, and deliverables
• Design and oversee the construction of water and wastewater utility projects for municipal, industrial, and private clients
• Create detailed site layouts, roadways, grading plans, erosion control measures, and stormwater management systems
• Develop construction exhibits, drawings, and technical specifications to ensure clarity and compliance
• Perform basic engineering calculations to support design accuracy and project feasibility
• Engage directly with clients to understand their needs, provide technical guidance, and ensure project satisfaction
• Assist in project documentation, reporting, and coordination with team members and stakeholders

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a closely related field
• Entry-level experience or a minimum of one year of engineering-related work
• Demonstrated interest in land development, water resources, or environmental engineering
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar design software
• Ability to meet project deadlines
