CCC Intelligent Solutions is a leading cloud platform for the insurance economy, creating intelligent experiences for various stakeholders. The Lead Guidewire Software Engineer will drive the design, development, and delivery of scalable Guidewire ClaimCenter solutions, collaborating with customers and internal teams to ensure alignment with product and platform standards.
Responsibilities:
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of accelerators, ensuring they align with established product and platform standards
- Lead technical and functional discussions regarding Guidewire integration architecture
- Collaborate closely with customers and internal teams to define joint integration strategies, manage project dependencies and risks, and establish clear success criteria
- Continuously identify opportunities for improvement, implement scalable and sustainable solutions, and foster a culture of continuous improvement
- Manage and coordinate cross-project, cross-team, and cross-system dependencies and integrations for seamless execution
- Adapt effectively to a dynamic, fast-paced environment by managing shifting priorities and evolving business needs with composure and focus
Requirements:
- 8–11 years of hands-on experience with advanced technical skills, including:
- Design and implement complex ClaimCenter customizations using Gosu, PCF, Scout UI, entities, and extensions
- Lead development of claims lifecycle workflows, business rules, validations, and enhancements
- Extensive experience delivering Guidewire-based solutions, with deep expertise in ClaimCenter and working knowledge of Guidewire cloud services such as APD, Jutro, and Integration Gateway
- Drive upgrade, cloud release, and patch strategies for ClaimCenter
- Relational databases (data modeling and SQL)
- Data formats (JSON, XML)
- API development and enterprise application architecture
- Strong experience with modern development tools and CI/CD pipelines, including Git, Bitbucket, TeamCity, and similar technologies
- Proven experience with SaaS platforms and cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP), including application deployment, scaling, performance optimization, and monitoring
- Experience leading development efforts for P&C insurance customers, with a strong understanding of core P&C insurance domain concepts
- Hands-on experience with agile methodologies and tools, combined with excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to embrace AI and apply it effectively in day-to-day work, leveraging data-driven insights to drive innovation, productivity, and continuous improvement
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline is required; an advanced degree is preferred
- Working knowledge of agile project management and collaboration tools, including Jira, Confluence, Monday.com, or similar
- Industry-recognized certifications such as Guidewire ACE and/or AWS cloud certifications are strongly preferred
