Business Analyst (Commercial Insurance)

Genpact is an advanced technology services and solutions company that delivers lasting value for leading enterprises globally. They are seeking a Business Analyst (Commercial Insurance) to support the evaluation of commercial insurance workflows and assist in documenting processes and data requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Support evaluation of commercial insurance workflows across underwriting, brokerage operations, policy issuance, endorsements, renewals, and claims touchpoints under guidance
• Assist in documenting current-state processes, business rules, and data requirements
• Support identification of process gaps and inefficiencies and contribute to improvement recommendations
• Participate in requirement gathering sessions, workshops, and walkthroughs with business and delivery teams
• Assist in preparing BRDs, FRDs, user stories, and supporting documentation
• Support data analysis activities using Excel, SQL, and reporting tools to validate requirements
• Assist in test case preparation, defect tracking, and UAT coordination
• Work closely with QA teams to clarify requirements and validate delivered functionality
• Follow defined compliance, quality, and documentation standards
• Escalate risks, issues, and dependencies to senior team members as required

Requirements:

• B.E / MCA / Relevant degree
• Prior working experience with Microsoft technologies
• Good knowledge of available IT systems/tools
• Experience working with commercial insurance platforms such as Guidewire, Duck Creek, Socotra, or similar systems
• Knowledge of policy administration, underwriting, claims, and brokerage processes
• Hands-on experience with JIRA, Confluence, Azure DevOps Boards, and Microsoft Office tools
• Experience creating wireframes using Figma, Balsamiq, InVision, or equivalent tools
• Prior experience supporting Commercial Insurance Brokers, Carriers, MGAs, or Reinsurance firms
• Familiarity with digital transformation programs in insurance
• Experience working in Agile and Waterfall delivery models
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, and documentation skills
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, client-driven delivery environment
