Tango is a leader in the home health management industry, preparing for significant growth. They are seeking a Senior .Net Engineer (Integrations) to develop and maintain healthcare integration solutions, ensuring compliance and interoperability with external partners.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, from ideation and architecture through implementation, deployment, and long-term support
- Design, build, and maintain enterprise-grade applications and integration services supporting EDI (X12) and FHIR-based APIs in high-volume healthcare environments
- Serve as a technical authority for healthcare data exchange, including claims, eligibility, authorizations, clinical data, and member/provider workflows
- Architect and develop scalable, secure web services using REST, SOAP, XML, JSON, and FHIR standards
- Ensure interoperability with external partners, payers, providers, and vendors while maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations
- Collaborate with product management, business stakeholders, and operations to translate complex healthcare requirements into robust technical solutions
- Establish and enforce coding standards, integration patterns, and best practices across the team
- Proactively identify performance, scalability, security, and reliability risks and drive mitigation strategies
- Oversee source control, branching strategies, and CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps
- Actively participate in production releases, deployments, monitoring, and incident resolution
- Mentor mid-level and junior engineers through design reviews, code reviews, and technical guidance
- Manage multiple priorities while contributing to roadmap planning and technical strategy
- Participate in customer, partner, and internal stakeholder meetings as a senior technical representative
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience designing, building, and supporting enterprise applications and integration platforms
- Strong hands-on experience with healthcare EDI, including X12 transactions (e.g., 270/271, 276/277, 278, 837, 835)
- Experience designing and implementing FHIR-based APIs, including resource modeling, versioning, validation, and interoperability considerations
- Proven experience architecting mission-critical, high-availability systems handling large data volumes and high transaction throughput
- Expert-level experience with .NET Core / ASP.NET, C#, and modern web application development
- Strong experience with React and modern front-end development practices
- Extensive experience with Web Services (REST, SOAP), XML, JSON, and API integration patterns
- Experience with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-aware development
- Strong experience with Git and collaborative development workflows
- Solid experience with SQL Server (2008+) and working knowledge of NoSQL databases
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies in a mature engineering organization
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Excellent computer skills and a proven ability to work independently in a remote environment
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality and follow-through
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive and regulated healthcare information
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively across diverse teams and environments
- Experience in healthcare, regulated environments, or compliance-driven systems is strongly preferred
