The Lead Software Engineer II plays an important role in building and enhancing engineering solutions across the organization, focusing on designing and delivering reliable, high-quality frontend software while collaborating with various teams to deliver user-focused features.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and deliver high-quality software iteratively and incrementally
- Take ownership of key components and features—from hands-on coding to deployment and monitoring
- Contribute to frontend observability using tools like Datadog and Fullstory for error tracking, performance monitoring, and user session analysis
- Participate in technical design discussions and contribute architectural insights, working with senior leaders to shape solutions
- Ensure software follows modern engineering practices, including clean code, testing, automation, and modern frontend architecture patterns
- Support continuous improvement in code quality, reliability, performance, and developer experience
- Translate business requirements into clear technical tasks and help validate assumptions and approaches
- Mentor and support junior engineers through pairing, code reviews, and knowledge sharing
- Collaborate effectively with Engineering, Product, and Design/UX to deliver well-aligned solutions
- Contribute to a culture of learning, curiosity, and continuous improvement within the engineering team
- Own core components or features

Requirements:
- 5–7 years of professional frontend software engineering experience
- Expertise with Angular (preferred), React, or Vue at scale
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript, including experience with advanced typing and generics
- Strong understanding of reactive programming patterns and state management, with experience in libraries such as RxJS, NgRx, Vuex/Pinia, or Redux
- Strong proficiency in CSS/SCSS, HTML, responsive design, cross-browser compatibility, and mobile-first development
- Experience integrating RESTful APIs, third-party SDKs, and embedded widgets within single-page applications, including complex asynchronous workflows
- Experience designing and contributing to reusable component libraries and shared internal packages (NPM preferred)
- Experience with unit testing (Vitest, Jest, Jasmine, or similar)
- Experience working within mature, legacy codebases and contributing to incremental modernization efforts
- Familiarity with accessibility standards and best practices
