The Vice President of Clinical Software Engineering will define and drive the company's clinical technology direction, ensuring effective execution and meaningful outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Defining and driving a clear engineering vision and execution strategy for the Clinical technology organization
- Establishing and owning a focused, outcome‑driven roadmap, prioritizing delivery over process
- Leading high‑velocity execution, ensuring meaningful customer and business outcomes are delivered consistently
- Providing strong architectural leadership, simplifying misaligned systems and eliminating duplicated capabilities
- Owning technical stewardship of cloud‑native (AWS) platforms, ensuring scalability, clarity, and speed
- Building, leading, and developing a high‑performing engineering leadership teams with a strong accountability culture
- Evaluating and evolving organizational structure to improve alignment, collaboration, and delivery
- Partnering closely with Product, Data, and AI leaders to translate strategy into working software
- Setting and reinforcing standards for technical excellence, decision‑making, and ownership
- Leading through trust, credibility, and results—driving execution in complex, ambiguous environments
Requirements:
- Proven engineering leadership at scale, leading complex software organizations through change, ambiguity, and growth
- Demonstrated ability to drive execution at high velocity—moving teams from strategy to delivery without over‑reliance on process
- Strong technical and architectural judgment, with the confidence to challenge teams, reset direction, and simplify overly complex systems
- Experience operating in messy, inherited environments, including fragmented platforms, unclear roadmaps, and duplicated capabilities
- Track record of building and leading high‑performing engineering leaders and teams, while holding a high bar for accountability
- Comfort making decisions with incomplete information and calling clear shots on priorities and outcomes
- Strong cross‑functional partnership skills, especially with Product, Data, and AI leaders, to translate vision into working software
- Outcome‑driven mindset, using metrics and customer impact—not ceremony—to guide decisions
- Experience in healthcare, financial services, or other complex regulated domains
- Background in platform, data, or connectivity‑focused architectures
- Experience leading engineering organizations through complexity, fragmentation, and performance challenges to achieve stronger alignment and delivery
- Experience leading and operating cloud‑native engineering environments (AWS), with the ability to assess, simplify, and realign architectures at scale
- Healthcare or financial services experience is a plus
- Experience in domains where mistakes matter and complexity is real
