Senior AI Engineer (Customer Facing)

Mission.dev is a platform for hiring, vetting, and managing software development talent, and they are seeking a Senior AI Engineer. This customer-facing role involves partnering with enterprise clients to design and deploy scalable AI solutions, requiring both technical expertise and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities:

• Partner directly with enterprise clients to understand requirements and design scalable AI solutions
• Architect and implement intelligent agent systems using frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, or CrewAI
• Design and deploy Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines
• Build and integrate LLM-powered applications using platforms such as GPT or Gemini
• Develop scalable backend services and APIs in Python
• Integrate AI solutions with enterprise systems (APIs, logs, data sources)
• Own projects end-to-end: data preparation, model development, deployment, monitoring, and optimization
• Collaborate with internal Engineering and Product teams to ensure seamless implementation
• Provide technical guidance to customers building on the RapidCanvas platform

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in AI/ML engineering or backend systems
• Recent hands-on experience building LLM or agent-based systems
• Experience working in enterprise or client-facing environments
• Strong Python proficiency
• Experience building scalable backend services and APIs
• Solid foundation in machine learning, deep learning, and Generative AI
• Experience with LLM platforms (e.g., GPT, Gemini)
• Experience with agent frameworks (LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI)
• Familiarity with vector databases (e.g., Pinecone, Weaviate, FAISS)
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects independently
• Solution-oriented mindset with strong architectural thinking
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• Familiarity with MLOps practices
• Experience in AI services or startup environments
