Design Liaison Engineer, Contractor

Abacus Service Corporation is seeking a Design Liaison Engineer for a contract position. The role involves managing engineering drawing changes, providing technical support, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities:

• The successful management, substantiation and timely execution of critical engineering drawing changes and tasks
• Provide expeditious technical and project management support and troubleshooting for engineering activities
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful task completion
• Apply knowledge of design and manufacturing to implement process improvements and/or new ideas that enhance overall function and quality of the parts, reduce cost and reduce defects in manufacturing

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical and/or Aerospace Engineering
• Proven experience demonstrating strong project management, teamwork and communication skills, as well as a passion for quality and continuous improvement
• Demonstrated proficiency with PLM, NX/UG and Microsoft Suite
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Previous experience with Client Vernova highly desired
• Years of experience in the Gas Turbine industry
