Senior Data Engineer IS, MDM and Data Governance, Virtual

Providence Health & Services is a comprehensive health care organization dedicated to serving the vulnerable in communities. The Senior Data Engineer will design and build modern data-centric software applications to support clinical and operational processes, leveraging cloud computing and big data. This role involves building data pipelines, mentoring less experienced engineers, and encouraging collaboration within the team.

Responsibilities:

• Designs and builds modern data-centric software applications to support clinical and operational processes across all parts of the healthcare system
• Builds data pipelines and transformations, data enrichment processes, provisioning layers, and user interfaces to meet the requirements of key initiatives
• Mentor and assist less experienced Data Engineers
• Participate in research and development of new technologies to help set up repeatable processes or templates for other Data Engineers to follow
• Encourages and places a priority on collaboration with meticulous source control and documentation

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or equivalent educ/experience
• 5 years of related experience; 5-8 years preferred
• Master's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or equivalent educ/experience
• 8 years of Data development experience
