The Manager, Go-To-Market FP&A will serve as the primary finance business partner to Sales and Revenue Operations, enabling data-driven decision-making and optimizing revenue growth through financial planning and analysis.
Responsibilities:
- Lead Go-To-Market FP&A and Decision Support
- Own financial planning, forecasting, and performance management for Go-To-Market functions, including revenue, sales, marketing, and customer acquisition activities
- Serve as the primary finance advisor to GTM senior leaders, providing insights that inform pricing, demand planning, pipeline health, capacity planning, and investment tradeoffs
- Translate GTM strategies and initiatives into financial outcomes, clearly connecting operational decisions to enterprise value
- Drive High-Quality Planning, Budgeting, and Forecasting
- Lead GTM budget creation, reforecasting, and variance analysis, ensuring assumptions are well understood, pressure-tested, and aligned to strategic priorities
- Partner with stakeholders to identify risks, constraints, and opportunities during planning cycles and recommend mitigation or alternative scenarios
- Monitor leading indicators (e.g., pipeline, conversion rates, sampling) to anticipate performance gaps and drive timely course correction
- Provide Strategic Thought Partnership and Insight
- Challenge assumptions using structured problem-solving, root cause analysis, and scenario modeling to elevate decision quality
- Support development of GTM business cases by evaluating benefits, costs, risks, and ROI to inform funding and prioritization decisions
- Help leaders relentlessly triage initiatives to focus on the highest-value opportunities while managing downside risk
- Build and Embed Decision Support Tools
- Leverage planning and reporting tools (e.g., Adaptive Insights, BI dashboards, financial models) to deliver intuitive, actionable reporting for GTM leaders
- Partner with FP&A, Finance Systems, and Technology teams to design dashboards, reports, and analyses that meet GTM leaders where they are
- Act as the “voice of the internal customer” to ensure tools translate financial complexity into practical, decision-ready insights
- Enable Financial Acumen and Adoption
- Coach and train GTM leaders and stakeholders on FP&A concepts, value-driver trees, and financial decision frameworks
- Communicate insights clearly through visuals, storytelling, and plain business language to drive alignment, trust, and action
- Drive adoption of FP&A tools and processes by embedding them into existing workflows and decision forums
- Continuous Improvement and Collaboration
- Establish success metrics for GTM FP&A tools and services and drive iterative improvement based on stakeholder feedback
- Collaborate closely with other FP&A managers and analysts to ensure consistency, accuracy, and best-practice sharing across the organization
- Contribute to the ongoing evolution of Great Minds’ finance business partnering model
Requirements:
- 7+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, business planning, or finance business partnering, ideally including revenue or GTM support
- Strong understanding of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, with deep knowledge of the P&L and financial drivers
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to translate financial insights into clear business implications for senior leaders
- Demonstrated ability to build strong cross-functional relationships and influence decision making at the senior leadership level
- BS/BA degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
- Experience supporting Go-To-Market functions (Sales, Marketing, Revenue Operations, or Demand Planning)
- Strong business acumen with understanding of revenue drivers, sales productivity, customer acquisition economics, and ROI analysis
- Advanced proficiency in financial modeling and planning tools (e.g., Adaptive Insights, Excel, BI tools such as Power BI)
- Experience coaching non-finance leaders to apply FP&A thinking in real-time decision making
