Charles River Laboratories is an early-stage contract research organization dedicated to improving the health and well-being of people across the globe. They are seeking a Mechanical Engineering Intern to assist their Global Engineering team with data collection, project development meetings, and support for new construction and facility expansion projects.
Responsibilities:
- Support ongoing efforts to develop and enhance the site facility analytics database
- Participate in project development meetings
- Utilize for data collection, data manipulation and results presentation
- Work directly with the Charles River Labs Engineering and Sustainability Teams
- Provide assistance as needed for new construction and facility expansion projects
- Help present to small groups in a safe and encouraging environment to build on public speaking and executive presence
Requirements:
- Student currently enrolled in an accredited college/university degree program pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum GPA of 3.0
- Ability to fulfill internship position obligations based on summer break timing, potentially May - August
- Effective communication and listening skills in a teamwork environment
- Demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects with a strong attention to detail
- Possess proficiency with AutoCAD, Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without a sponsor visa
