Jobot is a leading provider of building automation and energy management solutions. They are seeking a Controls System Specialist to lead the installation, programming, and commissioning of Building Automation Systems, ensuring optimal operation of HVAC and energy management systems.
Responsibilities:
- Commission, troubleshoot, and service DDC control systems in commercial buildings to ensure optimal performance and reliability
- Perform system startups, testing sequences of operation, and facilitate smooth project handoffs to clients
- Modify and maintain as-built drawings using Visio, Word, and Excel to reflect system configurations and updates
- Program custom control sequences tailored to specific applications involving HVAC, lighting, and energy management systems
- Configure graphical user interfaces and set up networked BAS communications for seamless system integration
- Backup databases, perform diagnostics, and recalibrate field devices utilizing meters and laptops to maintain system accuracy
- Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and service teams to ensure project milestones are met on time and within budget
- Act as a technical liaison and primary point of contact for customers during system installation, commissioning, and service visits
- Maintain detailed records, including daily logs, site reports, timesheets, and expense documentation for project tracking and compliance
- Adhere to all safety protocols, ensure proper use of tools and equipment, and promote a safe working environment at all times
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least three years of hands-on experience working with BAS/DDC controls in commercial settings
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems, direct digital controls, and networking protocols
- Familiarity with commissioning tools, multimeters, and software interfaces
- Ability to interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Additional technical certifications or trade school training
- Experience with communication protocols such as BACnet or Modbus
