The role requires expertise in cloud migration testing, compliance, and the management of critical healthcare workloads.
Responsibilities:
- Looking for Claims, Provider, Managed Care, TMSIS (Transformed Medicaid Statistical Information System) and Financial
- Performance & Scalability Testing
- Benchmark pre‑migration vs. cloud performance for critical healthcare workloads
- Validate system response time for clinical operations where delays can impact patient care
- Test scalability of telehealth systems, patient portals, and claims processing during peak load
- Validate cloud‑native performance characteristics: autoscaling, network latency, and throughput
- Security, Compliance & Risk Validation
- Ensure healthcare cloud security standards: encryption, IAM, MFA, key management, secure access controls
- Validate HIPAA, HITRUST, SOC 2, GDPR (if applicable) compliance post‑migration
- Test audit trails, data retention policies, ePHI handling procedures, and log monitoring
- Identify misconfigurations that could expose PHI or violate clinical regulatory requirements
- Automation Framework Development
- Build scalable automation frameworks (Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, RestAssured, etc.)
- Enhance regression automation for clinical workflows, claims, and API interactions
- Apply design patterns (POM, Screenplay) and cloud‑native automation practices
- Utilize AI‑assisted automation tools while performing high‑scrutiny validation
- CI/CD & DevOps Integration
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines used for healthcare cloud deployments
- Support automated deployments across environments using Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud‑native services
- Work with DevOps teams to ensure compliance, monitoring, and traceability in deployment pipelines
- Risk‑Based Validation & Critical Thinking
- Identify high‑risk areas impacting patient safety, compliance, or revenue cycle
- Validate data ingestion and ETL workflows for labs, imaging, claims, and clinical data feeds
- Apply critical thinking to validate AI‑generated tests or automated outputs
- Cross‑Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Cloud Engineers, Healthcare SMEs, Clinical Analysts, DevOps, and Product Teams
- Collaborate with compliance teams for HIPAA/HITRUST verification
- Provide detailed test reports, go‑live readiness assessments, and risk mitigation plans
Requirements:
- Strong hands‑on experience with AWS/Azure/GCP cloud platforms
- Expertise in functional, integration, performance, and security testing for healthcare workloads
- Proficiency in healthcare interoperability standards: HL7, FHIR, DICOM, EDI‑837/835
- Strong experience with API testing (Postman, RestAssured)
- Automation expertise using Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar tools
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab, Azure DevOps)
- Experience with containers and orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes
- PHI data validation, HIPAA compliance verification
- Validation of EHR/EMR applications (Epic, Cerner, Meditech, etc. preferred)
- Claims, billing, and payer‑provider workflow testing
- ETL/data‑pipeline validation for clinical and operational datasets
- Understanding of healthcare compliance frameworks: HIPAA, HITRUST, NIST
- Strong analytical and critical‑thinking abilities, especially in regulated environments
- Exceptional communication for working with clinical and non‑technical teams
- Ability to lead QA strategy for large‑scale healthcare cloud migration programs
- Certifications such as: AWS Cloud Practitioner / Azure Fundamentals
- ISTQB Advanced Level
- HITRUST Practitioner (CCSFP) or Healthcare Industry Certifications
