Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough legal research on insurance law and regulations to support case strategies and legal opinions
- Draft comprehensive coverage opinions and legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests
- Represent clients in insurance coverage litigation, including depositions and court proceedings
- Analyze complex insurance policies to identify coverage issues and advise clients accordingly
- Engage in discovery practices, including conducting depositions and managing document productions
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues and support staff to deliver integrated legal solutions
- Stay current with evolving insurance laws, regulations, and industry trends to ensure clients receive up-to-date legal advice
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
- Admitted to the New York State Bar
- 3 to 7 years of experience in insurance coverage litigation
- Proven track record of drafting coverage opinions and handling insurance-related legal matters
- Strong analytical skills
- Excellent research capabilities
