Cypress HCM is a dynamic Bay Area startup seeking a 5G Product Manager. This role is responsible for shaping the product strategy execution for embedding software capabilities into the hardware and software stacks of large-scale public and private 5G network providers.
Responsibilities:
- Shape how next-generation location services are deployed within 5G and Radio Access Networks (RAN) environments
- Collaborate directly with network equipment vendors, system integrators, and internal engineering teams to ensure seamless integration, interoperability, and long-term scalability of the platform within mobile network operator (MNO) ecosystems
- Own the product vision and roadmap for 5G platform integrations, aligning technical capabilities with partner requirements, industry standards, and long-term market needs
- Serve as the primary technical product interface for integrations with 5G RAN vendors, core network providers, and system integrators, translating external platform requirements into clear internal execution plans
- Define end-to-end functional requirements across the positioning data lifecycle, from radio signal capture and processing to downstream consumption through internal services and external APIs
- Develop detailed product requirement documentation and technical specifications supporting integration into 5G Core components (including location and gateway functions) and RAN environment
- Track and assess evolving 5G standards and specifications related to positioning and mobility to ensure compliance with extensibility, and future readiness
Requirements:
- 4+ years of experience in technical product management, preferably focused on infrastructure platforms, APIs, or large-scale system integrations
- Strong understanding of modern cellular network architecture, including 5G Core and RAN components
- Demonstrated ability to engage deeply with engineering teams on topics such as API design, cloud-native services, containerized deployments, and integration patterns
- Experience applying structured prioritization frameworks to balance technical constraints, partner requirements, and business objectives
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills in highly technical, multi-stakeholder environments
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or related technical discipline
- Working knowledge with 5G positioning functions and protocols within standardized mobile network architectures
- Broad technical exposure to radio networks, cloud infrastructure, location-based services, IoT systems, and data pipelines
- Prior experience collaborating with telecom operators, network equipment vendors, or large-scale infrastructure providers
