Design Engineer

Jobot is a dynamic and innovative full-service engineering and surveying firm dedicated to delivering high-quality infrastructure solutions. They are seeking a dedicated and experienced Bridge Design Engineer to design and oversee transportation infrastructure projects, primarily focusing on bridge structures across Oklahoma.

Responsibilities:

• Design, analyze, and review bridge structures ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations
• Develop detailed engineering drawings and specifications using advanced structural design software
• Collaborate with project teams to develop innovative solutions that optimize structural integrity and cost-efficiency
• Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor construction progress and ensure design adherence
• Coordinate with surveyors, contractors, and other stakeholders to facilitate seamless project execution
• Prepare technical reports, calculations, and documentation required for permits and approvals
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in bridge engineering and incorporate best practices into project designs
• Assist in mentoring junior engineers and providing technical guidance as needed

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering; a Master's degree is preferred
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in Oklahoma or the ability to obtain it within six months of employment
• Minimum of two years of progressive experience in structural engineering; bridge-specific experience is not mandatory as training will be provided
• Proficiency with structural design software such as STAADPRO, Bentley OpenBridge Designer, MDX, and ETCulvert
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Master's degree in Civil Engineering
