Lead Engineer I – Plant Civil and Structural Engineering

RISINGSUN TECHNOLOGIES is seeking a Lead Engineer I in Plant Civil and Structural Engineering. The role involves contributing to Civil Engineering activities for New Plants Engineering projects, working collaboratively within a global team to execute work plans effectively.

Responsibilities:

• Support Civil Systems design and/or equipment documentation activities; respond to vendor questions and deviation requests; review and approve vendor document submittals
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager and Senior Engineers
• Interface with internal and external customers, suppliers, partners, licensee, the NRC, and international regulatory authorities on technical issues
• Incorporate design requirements into analyses and design documents
• Support quality requirements, including participation in design reviews; initiating and managing the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned systems using sound engineering principles; and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product/program requirements
• Document technical data generated by the assigned project consistent with engineering policies and procedures
• Provide timely communications on significant issues or developments
• Execute work plans within budget and schedule in a collaborative, team-based environment, including coordination with global partner organizations and suppliers

Requirements:

• MUST be a US Citizen
• Must be willing to work on our W2
• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or another Engineering discipline from an accredited college or university
• 5 or more years of Civil Engineering analysis and design experience
• Ability to work within a team environment and execute work plans within budget and schedule
• Ability to interface with internal/external stakeholders (including suppliers and regulatory bodies) on technical issues
• Ability to produce and maintain engineering documentation consistent with engineering policies and procedures
• Master's degree or degree in an engineering discipline from an accredited college or university
• Nuclear industry knowledge/experience
• Strong knowledge of fundamental engineering principles, BWR core/fuel material behavior, and mechanical or structural design fundamentals
• Strong communication and writing skills; able to articulate specific technical topics or assignments
• Strong facilitation, team building, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of project management
• Strong analytical capabilities, problem solving, and process skills
• Honest and straightforward with a high level of personal integrity
• Detail-oriented and accountable for results
• Ability to work effectively within a highly collaborative environment
• A self-starter willing to take initiative
