Backend Software Engineer

Healthcare Fraud Shield is focused on providing solutions to combat healthcare fraud, and they are seeking a Backend Software Engineer to develop and maintain application tasks that support customer data import and process workflows. The role involves designing and optimizing complex T-SQL import scripts and collaborating with the implementation team to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Take full ownership of assigned projects and deliver high-quality solutions from development through deployment and support
• Design, develop, and maintain claim import implementations
• Troubleshoot, enhance, and support the scoring workflow processes
• Ensure data security and confidentiality in compliance with company standards
• Understands and complies with all company Privacy and Security standards
• Participate in ongoing professional development and continued learning initiatives
• Participate in an on-call support rotation to provide after-hours coverage for critical systems and applications

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
• 5+ years of software development experience
• 5+ years of T-SQL or related database development experience in a Microsoft SQL Server environment
• Strong proficiency in C# and .NET 8+
• Experience with Git source control
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to independently manage tasks and prioritize effectively in a demanding environment
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively within a dynamic team
