Cleared AWS Cloud Engineer *

Virtual Service Operations is seeking an AWS Cloud Engineer to design, operate, and continuously improve cloud environments that support critical business and mission workloads. The role involves building scalable solutions on AWS with a focus on automation, operational efficiency, and security.

Responsibilities:

• Design, operate, and continuously improve cloud environments that support critical business and mission workloads
• Building scalable and resilient solutions on Amazon Web Services
• Emphasis on automation, operational efficiency, and security
• Work hands-on with a wide range of AWS services across compute, storage, networking, and databases
• Defining infrastructure using code-driven approaches rather than manual configuration
• Implementing automated workflows, batch processing, and modern deployment pipelines
• Establishing monitoring, logging, and audit capabilities to ensure system visibility and compliance
• Applying cloud security best practices to protect data and workloads

Requirements:

• 10+ years of relevant, professional experience with cloud engineering
• Hands-on experience building observability solutions, including metrics, logs, and auditing within AWS environments
• A track record of automating cloud operations and batch processing workflows
• Expertise in defining and managing infrastructure through code-based approaches
• Strong understanding of securing cloud platforms and applying industry-recognized security controls
• Experience integrating build, test, and deployment pipelines into cloud architectures
• Working knowledge of AWS compute, storage, networking, and database services
• Must possess an active Secret clearance or above
