Dynatrace Observability Engineer

US Tech Solutions is a global staff augmentation firm providing a wide range of talent-on-demand and total workforce solutions. They are seeking a Principal Observability Engineer to lead and mature enterprise observability practices within a Microsoft Azure-first ecosystem, requiring deep expertise in Dynatrace and strong Azure architecture knowledge.

Responsibilities:

• Lead observability strategy across Azure-based distributed systems
• Architect and implement Dynatrace monitoring solutions (APM, infrastructure, logs, RUM)
• Design executive and operational dashboards
• Define and implement SLI/SLO frameworks
• Optimize alerting strategies to reduce noise and improve incident response
• Improve MTTD and MTTR through automation and telemetry improvements
• Monitor and optimize Microsoft enterprise platforms including D365 and Power Platform
• Collaborate with Cloud, DevOps, SRE, and Application teams
• Drive standards, governance, and best practices for observability
• Perform root cause analysis and performance optimization

Requirements:

• 5+ years hands-on experience with Dynatrace (Primary Requirement)
• 7+ years total experience in Observability / APM / SRE
• Strong dashboard design experience (executive & operational)
• Experience implementing SLI/SLO frameworks
• Alert strategy design & MTTD/MTTR optimization
• Strong Azure architecture experience (IaaS & PaaS)
• Experience with Azure App Services
• Experience with Azure Functions
• Experience with Azure Virtual Machines
• Experience with Azure Networking
• Distributed systems monitoring expertise
• Dynamics 365 CE and/or F&O
• Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate)
• Azure Logic Apps
• Azure API Management
• Azure SQL / SQL Server monitoring
• Azure Data Factory
• Dynatrace certifications
• Advanced root cause analysis expertise
• Performance optimization background
• Experience building governance frameworks and monitoring standards
