Senior Principal Software Engineer – AI UX

Confidential company is seeking a Senior Principal Software Engineer – AI UX to design and implement the next generation of intelligent, enterprise‑grade user experiences. This role involves leading the design of AI-driven user experiences and influencing the long-term UX strategy across AI initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and implementation of AI‑driven user experiences across multiple product lines
• Develop reusable, scalable UX components and patterns for copilots, contextual assistance, multimodal interaction, and intelligent automation
• Translate responsible AI principles, transparency, explainability, auditability, into practical design and engineering solutions
• Influence architectural decisions and long‑term UX strategy across AI initiatives
• Participate in applied R&D to evaluate emerging interaction models that enhance human–machine collaboration
• Engage with customers and domain experts to validate usability needs and guide engineering decisions
• Mentor engineers working in AI/UX and elevate cross‑team engineering excellence

Requirements:

• 12+ years in software engineering, AI/ML systems, UX architecture, HCI, or related domains
• Hands‑on experience designing and delivering AI‑enabled user experiences in complex enterprise environments
• Strong understanding of ML/NLP and ability to collaborate deeply with AI engineering teams
• Demonstrated ability to simplify complex workflows through intelligent automation and UX design
• Excellent cross‑functional communication and technical leadership skills
• Background in enterprise or technical user‑focused software (infrastructure, operations, analytics, DevOps, etc.)
• Experience applying responsible AI frameworks to UX
• Exposure to multimodal interaction (chat interfaces, visual reasoning cues, voice)
• Advanced degree in Computer Science, HCI, AI/ML, or related field
