New York Technology Partners is seeking a MongoDB Atlas / NoSQL Data Engineer to support a major digital transformation initiative. The role involves designing and optimizing MongoDB Atlas solutions, managing ETL pipelines, and developing CI/CD workflows while ensuring compliance with government requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and optimize MongoDB Atlas data storage solutions, including indexing, schema design, and performance tuning
- Support the migration of legacy systems to Oracle Exadata, including stored procedures and relational database design
- Build and maintain ETL pipelines, ensuring strong data governance, access controls, and compliance
- Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines for data engineering workflows
- Collaborate on infrastructure automation (Terraform experience is a plus)
- Work with big data technologies and integrate solutions across multiple platforms
- Leverage Azure (or other cloud technologies) to build scalable, secure data solutions
- Ensure compliance with government requirements, including U.S.‑only residency
Requirements:
- Deep expertise in MongoDB Atlas and NoSQL data storage
- Design, implement, and optimize MongoDB Atlas data storage solutions, including indexing, schema design, and performance tuning
- Support the migration of legacy systems to Oracle Exadata, including stored procedures and relational database design
- Build and maintain ETL pipelines, ensuring strong data governance, access controls, and compliance
- Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines for data engineering workflows
- Collaborate on infrastructure automation
- Work with big data technologies and integrate solutions across multiple platforms
- Leverage Azure (or other cloud technologies) to build scalable, secure data solutions
- Ensure compliance with government requirements, including U.S.-only residency
- Strong expertise in MongoDB / MongoDB Atlas, including storage optimization, indexing strategies, and NoSQL best practices
- Experience supporting government clients and understanding compliance requirements
- Working knowledge of Oracle, relational database concepts, and stored procedures
- Hands-on experience with ETL, data governance, and access control frameworks
- Experience with Azure or other cloud platforms
- Proficiency in CI/CD pipeline development
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-team environment supporting high-visibility programs
- Terraform experience is a plus
- Familiarity with big data technologies (Spark, Hadoop, etc.)
