MongoDB Engineer

New York Technology Partners is seeking a MongoDB Atlas / NoSQL Data Engineer to support a major digital transformation initiative. The role involves designing and optimizing MongoDB Atlas solutions, managing ETL pipelines, and developing CI/CD workflows while ensuring compliance with government requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and optimize MongoDB Atlas data storage solutions, including indexing, schema design, and performance tuning
• Support the migration of legacy systems to Oracle Exadata, including stored procedures and relational database design
• Build and maintain ETL pipelines, ensuring strong data governance, access controls, and compliance
• Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines for data engineering workflows
• Collaborate on infrastructure automation (Terraform experience is a plus)
• Work with big data technologies and integrate solutions across multiple platforms
• Leverage Azure (or other cloud technologies) to build scalable, secure data solutions
• Ensure compliance with government requirements, including U.S.‑only residency

Requirements:

• Deep expertise in MongoDB Atlas and NoSQL data storage
• Design, implement, and optimize MongoDB Atlas data storage solutions, including indexing, schema design, and performance tuning
• Support the migration of legacy systems to Oracle Exadata, including stored procedures and relational database design
• Build and maintain ETL pipelines, ensuring strong data governance, access controls, and compliance
• Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines for data engineering workflows
• Collaborate on infrastructure automation
• Work with big data technologies and integrate solutions across multiple platforms
• Leverage Azure (or other cloud technologies) to build scalable, secure data solutions
• Ensure compliance with government requirements, including U.S.-only residency
• Strong expertise in MongoDB / MongoDB Atlas, including storage optimization, indexing strategies, and NoSQL best practices
• Experience supporting government clients and understanding compliance requirements
• Working knowledge of Oracle, relational database concepts, and stored procedures
• Hands-on experience with ETL, data governance, and access control frameworks
• Experience with Azure or other cloud platforms
• Proficiency in CI/CD pipeline development
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-team environment supporting high-visibility programs
• Terraform experience is a plus
• Familiarity with big data technologies (Spark, Hadoop, etc.)
