Automation Engineering Manager (Flex Location)

UPS is a Fortune Global 500 organization seeking an Automation Engineering Manager to lead the implementation of warehouse automation solutions. The role involves collaborating with vendors and warehouse engineers to design and implement automation systems within shipping and distribution facilities.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborates with warehouse engineers on conceptual designs
• Works closely with customers and vendors to finalize system design
• Works closely with UPS sales resources to present proposals to customers and obtain a signature on Statement of Work (SOW)
• Selects appropriate vendor based on capabilities and other selection criteria
• Works with selected vendor to transform conceptual designs into a customer proposal
• Manages the implementation of the design within the customer facility
• Oversees vendors and timelines with the assistance of the assigned project manager
• Responsible for holding vendors accountable to the statement of work for each respective project
• Responsible for the overall success of the project from end to end
• Potential for extensive travel up to 75% or more

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree or International equivalent
• Experience implementing logistics and technology-based solutions
• Experience implementing warehouse automation systems
• Experience with AutoCAD
• Experience working with vendors
• Must be a U.S. Citizen or National of the U.S., an alien lawfully admitted for permanent residence, or an alien authorized to work in the U.S. for this employer
