About this role
RISINGSUN TECHNOLOGIES is seeking a Senior Applications Engineer specializing in BOP Mechanical Systems. The role involves preparing engineering documents, managing vendor evaluations, and ensuring compliance with safety standards while supporting project delivery timelines.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare basic engineering docs (design memo, flow diagrams, sizing calcs, supplier specs) for hydro plant systems
- Systems include: EOT cranes/handling equipment, cooling water, drainage/dewatering, HVAC, fire protection/detection, lube/insulating oil systems, compressed air, elevators, workshop equipment
- Evaluate vendor offers; conduct technical meetings; post-order reviews/approvals with client
- Manage interfaces and maintain interface records with internal client teams
- Contribute technical inputs for project reviews; layout & piping strategies
- Support engineering processes, quality standards, project delivery timelines
- Perform technical and risk management; contract review & analysis
- Coordinate site surveys and input collection; consolidate work statements with customers/suppliers
- Manufacturing technical follow-up; supplier KOM and follow-ups
- Ensure compliance with integrity program and EHS/safety rules for layout engineering
Requirements:
- 3–6 years mechanical BOP + layout/piping engineering (hydro or thermal power)
- Experience across concept → P&ID → layout → detail design
- BOQ and technical specification preparation; tendering/enquiry handling
- Tools: E3D/PDMS/CAD, AutoCAD; AFT (or similar) for hydraulic sizing
