Index Analytics, LLC is a rapidly growing, Baltimore-based small business providing health-related consulting services to the federal government. They are seeking a Senior DevSecOps Engineer to support Government clients, focusing on enhancing DevOps processes and providing infrastructure support. This role involves managing CI/CD pipelines, ensuring data security, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities:
- Serves as a senior engineer on the team supporting a shared services Jenkins infrastructure to enable continuous integration and continuous deployment CI/CD for product teams
- Create/design/develop/manage DevOps CI/CD pipelines using code management tools such as GitHub and DevOps tools such as Jenkins shared libraries, Docker and open-source tools
- Provide the necessary support to establish and improve DevOps processes such as IaC, contribute to common shared libraries, test automation frameworks, scanning frameworks to ensure data security
- Leverage Python as a general-purpose programming language for data analytics in the AWS cloud environments
- Design and implement data and system integrations for consuming and sharing data across the OIG enterprise as well as with external agencies
- Implements practical security improvements and compliance activity in support of the product and program
- Work as a liaison between product teams, infrastructure teams at OIG on infrastructure related discussions and troubleshooting
- Be a trusted automation and tooling advisor for DevOps initiatives by providing objective, practical and relevant ideas, insights, consulting and mentoring
- Recommend and implement industry standards
- Manage self-directed assignments
- Meet schedule deadlines and commitments with a high-level of quality of deliverables
- Collaborate with a team of cross-functional resources in an Agile delivery environment
- Ability to train junior staff on cloud platforms, architecture, and DevSecOps best practices
- Ability to demonstrate excellent written and oral communication required
Requirements:
- US citizen or Authorized to Work and lived in the US for 3 of the last 5 years. Must be able to obtain a U.S. Federal government client badge and pass a government Public Trust
- Bachelor's degree or higher in IT or relevant discipline required
- 10 + years of overall related IT experience is required
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with the AWS cloud platform and services
- 3+ years of hands-on experience designing and implementing infrastructure shared services such as CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure security scanning, vulnerability management, system upgrade and patching deployment automation etc
- Hands-on experience with containerization using Docker and IaC using Terraform or similar
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are required
- Knowledge of Agile framework, Scrum methodologies and knowledge of tools used to support them
- AWS certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect are preferred
- Prior experience with OIG or other Govt agencies is a plus
