Confidential company is seeking a Senior Mobile QA Engineer who will ensure the reliability, performance, and overall quality of mobile applications across both iOS and Android platforms. This role focuses on test automation and mobile-specific validation while collaborating with product, design, and development teams in an Agile environment.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain automated test suites for Android and iOS applications using modern automation frameworks such as Appium or Detox
- Integrate mobile test automation into CI/CD pipelines and support continuous delivery workflows
- Conduct manual and automated testing, validating UI/UX flows, core functionality, and mobile‑specific behaviors such as gestures, permissions, offline mode, and device state variations
- Run performance, load, and stability tests to identify issues related to memory usage, rendering performance, battery impact, and network conditions
- Verify compatibility across diverse devices, operating systems, screen sizes, and hardware profiles
- Develop and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, and QA documentation to support releases
- Work closely with engineering, design, and product teams to ensure proper test coverage and alignment with feature requirements
- Contribute to the improvement of QA tooling, automation frameworks, and testing methodologies
Requirements:
- 8+ years of QA experience, including at least 5 years specializing in mobile QA (manual and automated)
- Proficiency in mobile test automation using Appium, Detox, or comparable tools
- Strong understanding of mobile architectures, build tooling, and debugging environments such as Xcode, Android Studio, and ADB
- Experience integrating automated mobile tests into CI/CD systems (e.g., GitLab CI, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Bitrise)
- Hands‑on experience testing across real devices, emulators, and cloud device platforms (e.g., BrowserStack, Sauce Labs, Firebase Test Lab)
- Familiarity with mobile performance profiling tools such as Android Profiler, Xcode Instruments, or similar tools
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities with a deep understanding of QA practices and test‑design strategies
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in fast‑paced, iterative environments
- Startup experience is a plus
