BDR Solutions, LLC supports the U.S. Federal Government in achieving its mission and goals. They are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead engineering efforts for Palantir Foundry-related and cloud-native solutions, ensuring high-quality deliverables that meet technical specifications and business requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Design, code, test, and debug applications and components that meet technical specifications and business requirements
- Work closely with lead engineers to develop technical design and approach for new product development
- Collaborate with Business Analysts on requirements and estimation
- Instill best practices for software development and documentation
- Ensure designs meet requirements and deliver high-quality work on tight schedules
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions and recommend alternative approaches
- Lead engineering efforts to meet aggressive timelines with optimal solutions
- Drive operational excellence (build, deploy, monitor, and operate production services)
- Mentor other software engineers; perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Computer Engineering, or related field (relevant experience considered in lieu)
- Minimum 1 year supporting Palantir-based platforms with hands-on engineering experience within Palantir's Foundry product in a federal environment (VA contracts preferred)
- Minimum 5 years' experience in full lifecycle of software development projects in an agile environment
- Minimum 1 year with data science-supporting technologies such as Python, PySpark, Spark, SQL, or ML; deep hands-on expertise in building web applications and RESTful web services
- Experience with MS SQL, PostgreSQL, or similar RDBMS
- Experience with .NET Core or similar object-oriented language
- Experience with Angular, React, or other JavaScript frameworks/libraries; experience with application containerization, deployment, and orchestration across environments; experience with CI/CD and test automation; experience building cloud-native applications in Azure or similar cloud provider
- United States citizen - must be able to pass a National Agency Check with law enforcement and a credit check
- Understanding and ability to troubleshoot applications running within Kubernetes
- Understanding of cloud infrastructure and automated provisioning/configuration management
- Knowledge of encryption, Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), and OWASP security concepts
