Software Engineer and UI/UX Developer

Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking a Software Engineer and UI/UX Developer to enhance user experience through innovative design and development. The role involves collaborating with a development team to create user-centric applications and tools, ensuring accessibility and functionality across various platforms and devices.

Responsibilities:

• Create an experience that delivers functionality and efficiency
• Use passion to guide a development team to learn new tools and techniques, identify and implement system improvements, and mentor teammates
• Coordinate front end and back-end developers to create a seamless user experience
• Ensure accessibility for all users by developing a front-end that functions across browsers, platforms, and devices while meeting accessibility and security requirements

Requirements:

• 8+ years of experience in UI/UX development
• Experience in HTML5, CSS3, Typescript, and React
• Knowledge of backend technologies and RESTful APIs
• Ability to design and develop responsive, accessible, and visually compelling user interfaces
• Secret clearance
• Bachelor's degree in a Computer Science or Computer Engineering field and 5+ years of experience in software engineering, or 8+ years of experience in software engineering in lieu of a degree
• Experience optimizing applications for maximum speed and scalability
• Experience collaborating with product managers, designers, and developers to translate requirements into functional UI/UX solutions
• Experience ensuring consistency in design patterns and maintaining design systems
• Experience with design tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD
• Top Secret clearance
